Shellie Morrison caught the entrepreneurial spirit in 1996 when she launched The Event Group. As the event planner for the University of Arkansas Division of Continuing Education, Shellie learned all about coordinating corporate events, which is her specialty now.

As The Event Group grew, Shellie saw the need for an in-house, full-service catering department, so she created a catering division. It’s grown to be one of the finest, most sought-out catering companies in Northwest Arkansas.

As President of the company, one might expect her to sit in an office all day. Quite the contrary. Shellie’s duties include client relations, corporate event and social event planning, office management, wedding coordinator and sometimes chief bottle washer. Her dedication to making sure each event is a success motivates Shellie to step in wherever needed.

Her experience is backed up and enhanced by a strong education. She has a bachelor’s degree in Arts and Sciences and a master’s degree in Education from the University of Arkansas.
