The Event Group is stepping into its 20th year of business -and potentially the busiest one yet!  Therefore, our staff has grown, and we are excited to tell you about the people behind all of the many details for events.

Shellie Morrison, President, is the owner and brain behind the company, as well as the hands that help carry out events from start to finish.  She is a servant-leader and you will see her at most events as a supervisor, but she could be doing anything from food preparation to dishwashing. She is quite the woman!

Heather Miley is our Event and Wedding Producer, specializing in corporate events. She has been working in the industry for almost 10 years and her experience is an incredible benefit to the company as well as the staff.  Heather has a genuine talent for planning events and is known for going above and beyond what is required because she cares so well for people.

Tamara Parker has been serving as our Sous Chef and Kitchen Coordinator for 11 years and will soon be transitioning to the role of Head Chef.  She is a hard worker that serves with excellence as she deals with all things food.  She plans menus, continually cooks with quality for large numbers of people, expedites events and so much more.

Cortney Keck is our Staff Coordinator and Catering Supervisor.  She handles all of our staff on-boarding, scheduling and logistics to help carry out each of our events with success.  From past catering experience, she is knowledgeable about the industry and is a humble leader for our event staff.

Jordan Williams is our Event Sales Producer and specializes in corporate events.  She serves as our core marketing agent by reaching out to past clients and seeking new interests as well.  Jordan has experience as an event coordinator in the area and is an incredible asset to our team.

Maggie Lechner is our Wedding Venue Manager.  Her primary focus is managing weddings at Magnolia Gardens in downtown Springdale.  From booking the wedding to greeting the client’s vendors on their wedding day, she carries out all the venue details and is passionate about caring for her clients’ desires.

This month Jay Fennel is retiring after 16 faithful years of service with The Event Group as the Head Chef.  We are sad to see him go, but so thankful for the legacy he has left with our business and staff.

Of course we couldn’t carry out our work without our part time events staff. They take care of delivering food, set-ups, serving, bartending, clean-up and the list goes on.  They are led by a supervisor and briefed on the necessary details before an event.  If you know someone that is interested in learning and serving in the catering industry, please send them our way!
