It’s that time of year when everyone gives thanks–usually for family, friends and other loved ones. So yes, I’m going to chime in about mine.
As you can see, we are not the best at taking selfies. My husband used to call them “facies”, which I think is a much better name.
This is not a perfect family. We usually get in fights right before going to church (what’s up with that?). We also argue when we make out the grocery list. I do all the cooking, so I expect them to plan the meals, make the list and shop–but somehow my input is also needed. Very frustrating!
And we can never agree on where to eat. I know no one else has these problems! But the best thing about this family is that we laugh– a lot. We are very funny people if you get to know us–trust me! Laughter keeps us together.
My husband, Joe, has been a true partner. He’s in the trenches with me through all my business ups and downs, raising our daughter, Riley, and everything else in between. I don’t want to get too sappy because when I see people go on and on about their spouses on social media, it kind of makes me want to throw up. But you get the idea…
Riley is a typical teenager–she’s wonderful except when she doesn’t get her way. I better not say too much about her, or I will get in trouble. So to sum it up, I am VERY thankful for my family.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
P.S. If you go to the Grand Canyon (pictured above), please stay away from the edge!
Bless you!! Our families sound sooo similar … Craig is the funny one and I can count on him to defuse family tension when it occurs!! The girls are wonderful (most days!) and love our time together but space is sometimes needed … fully agree with staying away from edge of any drop over 15 feet!! Love you, miss you and happy thanksgiving!!
I love you and sharing the stories of your family life. It sounds remarkably like ours, except for the Riley part. 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, as well as your Event Group Family.
